Whether YOU live outside of society or not, it won't stop the process of capital's valorisation from occurring all over the world. Mass strikes in industrial centres need to be organised, software needs to be pirated en masse to smash the circulation of intellectual property, and the best thing westerners can do is campaign for a reduction in labour hours per week, because labour time is how capital measures value.
I think it is important to remember that Karal Marx never even lived long enough to see the revolution even happen so I think we can deal with the occasional trip to Wal-Mart So suck it up and keep in mind that "when we hang the capitalist they sell us the rope" Vlad Lenin
I you can afford it, buy local produce to eat. Even where you have to buy from /a/ corporation, you can usually choose /which/ to buy from - choose the smaller one, or the one that is more liberal and uses fair trade or other such methods. Buy from charity shops, where even if the clothes or goods originally came from the mass market, /your/ money is going towards a worthy cause and not propping up big business. Support independent artists (I mean we are on dA after all, you can find plenty) and buy hand-crafted goods that you can be certain of the welfare of the producer, as you are buying directly from them.
There is still plenty you can do, even if it is not as much as you would like.
And you can't consume any liquid without someone else owning it.
Water? That belongs to the person who owns the land or the City. Soda? Either Pepsico or Coca-Cola. Milk? Belongs to the brand that bottled it. Coffee? For fuck's sake, who owns the coffee beans? Corporations or plantation-owners, who force terrified children to pick coffee cherries at gunpoint.
